Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Laurence spent the early part of his career as a partner in a leading South African law firm in corporate and real estate law. After twelve years he changed course and joined an international commodities trading firm, working first out of South Africa, then Switzerland and eventually the United States. Following a successful career in commodities trading, he founded a boutique investment firm and discovered a passion for growing businesses to the next level. His global experience, unique perspective and varied strengths across multiple areas of finance bring another level of strength to the Gerber management team.
